Stolen truck from Lko laden with edible oil recovered in Shahjahanpur

Shahjahanpur: A stolen truck loaded with edible oil was impounded by local police in RC Mission area, on the outskirts of Shahjahanpur city on Friday. Then we seized the truck and informed Lucknow police.” It was parked on National Highway 24.The truck was stolen from Lucknow. The consignment was meant for delivery in Shahjahanpur.Though Goyal informed Lucknow police immediately, they apparently did not act swiftly, and the truck moved out of the district.Goyal decided to search for the truck on his own. Its police have been informed about the recovery of truck.According to sources here, the truck was carrying a consignment of edible oil valued at Rs 10 lakh.

It was parked on National Highway 24.The truck was stolen from Lucknow. Its police have been informed about the recovery of truck.According to sources here, the truck was carrying a consignment of edible oil valued at Rs 10 lakh. It went missing from Mariwan area of Lucknow and an FIR was registered at Mariwan police station by its owner Shivam Goyal. The consignment was meant for delivery in Shahjahanpur.Though Goyal informed Lucknow police immediately, they apparently did not act swiftly, and the truck moved out of the district.Goyal decided to search for the truck on his own. He used the GPS device fitted in the truck to track its whereabouts. On Friday, he spotted his truck on NH-24 and gave it a chase. When the person driving the truck realised that he was being followed by a car, he abandoned it in the RC Mission area of Shahjahanpur and fled.Then, Goyal informed local police and the truck was brought to the police station. Since the FIR was already registered in Lucknow, so the truck will be handed over to Lucknow police who will then give it to its owner.Station house officer, RC Mission police station, Pravesh Singh said, “We received information that a truck which was stolen from Lucknow is parked on the roadside and the driver is absconding. Then we seized the truck and informed Lucknow police.”
