Man’s face blackened, paraded on buffalo for sodomizing child

Rampur: After a -22year-old man was accused of sodomizing a 7-year-old boy, the village panchayat decided to do justice on its own. “On Tuesday, the 22-year-old accused was sent to jail,” the circle officer added. Both reside in the same village. After the matter was taken to the panchayat, it ordered that the accused should be punished and humiliated in the village.”A case was registered against the accused under relevant sections of the IPC and he was arrested. The incident was reported from a village in Suar subdivision on Sunday.The villagers blackened the face of the accused, garlanded him with shoes and paraded him on a buffalo in the entire area.Taking cognizance of the video of the incident, police arrest the accused on Monday evening.Suar circle officer Rahul Kumar said, ‘The seven-year-old was allegedly sodomized by the man.
