Superintendent seeks fogging of Bareilly district jail premises

Bareilly: Expressing concern over the health of 2,900 inmates lodged at Bareilly district jail amid growing cases of fever deaths, especially due to malarial fevers, senior superintendent of district jail RK Mishra on Wednesday sought spraying larvicides and fogging of all barracks.In letters to district magistrate VK Singh and chief medical officer Dr Vineet Shukla, Mishra said, “Mosquitos are breeding very fast here, thus there is a need to spray larvicides and fogging of all barracks.”“As the jail is located in rural area, 20 km from the city and the entire district is affected by malarial fever, the chances of outbreak on the jail premises are high.
