Man thrashes wife for Rs 1 lakh

An FIR has been lodged.“My sister married Naseeruddin in 2008. He is an alcoholic and a drug addict,” Tayyab said.He alleged that Naseeruddin came home drunk and started beating her.“After hearing her screaming, a neighbour informed me about the incident. We are conducting raids to nab Naseeruddin.”

The incident occurred at Hindoliya village under Bithri Chainpur police station on Sunday.Badly hurt, Sartaj Bi was later admitted at a district hospital and is in critical condition, her parents said.The victim’s brother, Tayyab, has given a written complaint against the accused at Bithri Chainpur police station. An FIR has been lodged.“My sister married Naseeruddin in 2008. They have two kids. Naseeruddin works as a truck mechanic at Transport Nagar. Our parents had fulfilled his demands —a car and Rs 5 lakh— but after three years of their marriage life, he again started demanding Rs 1 lakh. He is an alcoholic and a drug addict,” Tayyab said.He alleged that Naseeruddin came home drunk and started beating her.“After hearing her screaming, a neighbour informed me about the incident. When I and my mother Noorjahaan rushed to her house, we found Sartaj lying unconscious on the floor and Naseeruddin missing,” Tayyab said.Bithri Chainpur police station house officer Jai Prakesh, said, “On Sunday morning, following a complaint by victim’s mother against the accused, an FIR has been lodged under IPC sections 498 A (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 546 (criminal intimidation) of IPC and Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. We are conducting raids to nab Naseeruddin.”
