Youth rapes 6-year-old niece, 7-year-old cousin

Bareilly: A 21-year-old youth was arrested on Sunday for allegedly raping his six-year-old niece and seven-year-old cousin in Amroha district. Rajveer took both girls to a field near their house while parents of the minors were away for work. The parents of both girls immediately went to Rajveer’s house but he had fled from the village. The accused, Rajveer, would be sent to jail on Monday after producing him in the court.”“The crime had occurred on Saturday afternoon. Meanwhile, scores of residents gathered at the spot and soon police were informed.“The accused man is a drug addict.

The crime came to light when parents of both minor girls saw their blood-stained clothes and questioned them.Station house officer of Dhanaura, Nawab Singh, said, “Both girls have been sent for a medical examination. The accused, Rajveer, would be sent to jail on Monday after producing him in the court.”“The crime had occurred on Saturday afternoon. Rajveer took both girls to a field near their house while parents of the minors were away for work. He then took turns to rape them. After the crime, the youth brought the girls back to their respective homes and fled from the village,” added the SHO.The minors revealed the ordeal to their families when they were asked about blood stains on their clothes. The parents of both girls immediately went to Rajveer’s house but he had fled from the village. Meanwhile, scores of residents gathered at the spot and soon police were informed.“The accused man is a drug addict. An FIR under section 376 (rape) of the IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has been lodged against him,” SHO Singh said.
