Kidnapped teen rescued by locals; FIR registered

Pilibhit: Locals rescued a 14-year-old class VIII student just two hours after he was kidnapped from Pilibhit city area on Tuesday evening. When they went to buy meal near railway station, the boy started knocking at the windowpanes for help. Some passers-by noticed him and broke the windowpanes and rescued the boy. They accompanied the boy to his home. Soon, police and the boy’s kin rushed to the spot, but the kidnappers had fled by then.SP Balendu Bhushan Singh said police had been directed to start checking of vehicles, but the kidnappers could not be traced.Pilibhit Kotwali police station Kiran Pal Singh said an FIR was registered against unidentified kidnappers under IPC section 364 (kidnapping or abducting in order to murder).

An FIR was registered.According to boy’s father Firoz Malik, a government employee and a resident of Chandoi village, his son Hamza Firoz, a student at Hafiz Rahmat Khan Inter College, was kidnapped near Khakra river’s bridge near Khakra police post by four armed kidnappers when he was on way home from his coaching classes around 7.30pm.The kidnappers took him to the railway godowns in a van and tied his hands and legs with ropes. When they went to buy meal near railway station, the boy started knocking at the windowpanes for help. Some passers-by noticed him and broke the windowpanes and rescued the boy. They accompanied the boy to his home.
