Speeding car mows down motorist

Bareilly: A 35-year-old man was killed when a speeding car knocked down his bike near Dhohara crossing under Baradari police jurisdiction on Monday night. He succumbed to injuries there later.”Baradari station house officer Satish Kumar said, “We have registered a case against an unidentified person and seized the vehicle. Some passersby alerted the police, who rushed him to the district hospital. The driver was a girl aged around 25 years. Further inquiry is on.”

Bareilly: A 35-year-old man was killed when a speeding car knocked down his bike near Dhohara crossing under Baradari police jurisdiction on Monday night. Police have registered a case against an unidentified person in this regard on Tuesday morning under sections 279 (rash driving), 337 (endangering life or personal safety of others), 338 (causing grievous hurt) and 304A (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code.The deceased was identified as Mohammad Nazim (35), a resident of Kandhi Tola, who was working as a sales manager in a mobile phone showroom.Talking to TOI, Mohammad Aasif, younger brother of the victim, said, “My brother was returning home after shopping when a speeding car knocked him down. The driver was a girl aged around 25 years. Some passersby alerted the police, who rushed him to the district hospital. He succumbed to injuries there later.”Baradari station house officer Satish Kumar said, “We have registered a case against an unidentified person and seized the vehicle. Further inquiry is on.”
