Thieves break into house, steal cash, jewels worth Rs 6L

Pilibhit: Thieves broke into a a house situated in the densely populated Awas Vikas colony, under Pilibhit Kotwali police station, and decamped with cash and jewellery worth Rs 6 lakh on the intervening night between Sunday and Monday.The owner of the house and his family were away in Lucknow when the theft took place.According to victim Abhinav Singh, who is a pathology lab owner in Pilibhit city, he discovered that thieves had broken into his house when he returned home from Lucknow early on Monday morning.Kiran Pal Singh, SHO of Pilibhit Kotwal, said an FIR was lodged against the burglars under IPC section 452 (house trespass) and 380 (theft in dwelling house).
