Burglars makes failed attempt to rob bank

Pilibhit: In a scene straight from a Bollywood flick, burglars broke in to the backside wall of the branch of district cooperative bank at Amaria tehsil headquarters under Amaria police station. “The bank officials never paid any heed to our requests to pay attention towards the security of the bank,” he said.On being asked about the matter, Rajesh Kumar said that the bank was equipped with CCTV cameras but the burglars cut all the wires of connectivity. An FIR has been lodged into the matter following a complaint by Rajesh Kumar, the officiating branch manager. I will draw his attention to the leaks in safety of the branch as soon as he returns”.

Pilibhit: In a scene straight from a Bollywood flick, burglars broke in to the backside wall of the branch of district cooperative bank at Amaria tehsil headquarters under Amaria police station. The miscreants drilled a big hole in the wall to execute the robbery. However, a heavy steel coffer that was kept inside the premises came in the way of the robbers and saved the fortunes of the bank.The incident took place on the intervening night between Monday and Tuesday. An FIR has been lodged into the matter following a complaint by Rajesh Kumar, the officiating branch manager. A case has been registered against anonymous burglars under section 379 (theft) and 511(attempt to commit offense) of the IPC.According to the SHO of Amaria police station, Sandeep Singh Tomar, the building structure of the bank was extremely vulnerable as its walls were hardly 4.5 inches thick. The bank officials did not even place any CCTV cameras inside or outside the premises. “The bank officials never paid any heed to our requests to pay attention towards the security of the bank,” he said.On being asked about the matter, Rajesh Kumar said that the bank was equipped with CCTV cameras but the burglars cut all the wires of connectivity. Regarding the vulnerability of the premises, he said “The branch manager, Devendra Joshi, is on leave. I will draw his attention to the leaks in safety of the branch as soon as he returns”.
