Moradabad: Accusing Moradabad BJP MP Kunwar Sarvesh Kumar Singh and district magistrate Rakesh Kumar Singh of “failing to deliver justice to the common man”, a resident Khawajapur-Dhantala of Thakurdwara sub-division, Rohtash Kumar Yadav, on Wednesday threatened them of “serious consequences” through a video posted on Facebook.“The video shows the accused issuing threats that he will not hesitate to pick AK47 if justice is not delivered and may go to the extent of contacting militants or Naxals to arrange for an AK47 rifle,” said police.Thakurdwara Kotwali station house officer (SHO) Manoj Kumar Singh said, “After the video went viral, Rohtash was booked under sections 124A (sedition) and 386 (extortion by putting a person in fear of death) 507 (criminal intimidation by an anonymous communication) and relevant sections of the Information Technology Act on Saturday on the complaint of the BJP MP’s personal secretary Chandrapal Singh.”DM told TOI, “Rohtash’s complaints against a ration dealer in his village turned out to be false during the course of inquiry. In fact, it turned out that he had personal enmity with the ration dealer and to settle his scores, he lodged false complaints and used social media platform as his tactics to mount pressure on officials.”SHO said, “Rohtash had personal grudge with the ration dealer over distribution of ration. He had also contested panchayat elections, and was recently booked for the kidnapping of a village girl. A police team has been formed to arrest him, and he will be arrested soon. His location has been traced.”Despite repeated attempt Sarvesh Singh could not be reached for his comment.The BJP MP is guarded by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) commandos after the Centre provided him ‘X’ category security in the face of threats issued to him by his political rivals.
