Yashpal, the sole breadwinner for the family, is survived by his parents, wife and one son.Victim’s younger brother Atul Arya said Yashpal, who visited his village on a week-long leave, went out with his friend Vipin around 11.30pm on Friday without informing family members. “We tried to contact him and his friend over their phones many times, but their phones were switched off. Around 4 am on Saturday, police informed me about the accident. Soon, I along with some villagers rushed to the spot, 7 km from our house. Policemen were already present at the crime scene.”Baheri station house officer (SHO) Dalveer Singh said, “Yashpal was on his way back home on Vipin’s bike when he was killed. He was alone at the time of accident and had been riding without a helmet. We are trying to find out his friend, who is still at large.”“An FIR was registered against the driver of unidentified vehicle under sections 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way), 304A (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). We are conducting raids to nab the victim’s friend, who is still at large,” said Singh.
