PTR also placed a cage with live bait but the big cat hasn’t fallen into the trap as yet.Prior to this, the authorities had trapped two stray leopards in this area on September 19 and on December 2, last year. Both the leopards had migrated from the nearby forest region of Nepal.The deputy director of PTR, Adarsh Kumar said “This big cat has developed a peculiar nature of killing domestic cattle in the Indian territory and then returning back to own habitat”, he said.The departmental force is continuously making attempts to trap this leopard but its caging could be possible only when the big cat stays in the Indian territory, he added.
