Saving nature, a priority at this expo held in Bareilly

A three-day grand 15th Build Expo 2018 was organized at Bareilly Club’s mela ground by Foundation of Bareilly Architects with the theme‘My Bareilly My Pride’, interspersed with the message ‘Clean Bareilly and Save Nature’.The three-day extravaganza was inaugurated by DK Thakur, IG Bareilly. The theme of the painting competition was ‘nature’ where school and college students exhibited beautiful thoughts on nature and its natural beauty. Several fun-filled activities and competitions including Indra-Dhanush painting, Mohe Rang De-face painting and Rangavali-Rangoli were the highlights of the event. Besides, a hand shadow-graphy show was a unique thing to watch at the expo.” We keep witnessing and going to handicraft and lifestyle exhibitions in the city but this was one of its kind.

Several fun-filled activities and competitions including Indra-Dhanush painting, Mohe Rang De-face painting and Rangavali-Rangoli were the highlights of the event. The participating categories in these events were school children from Class 6-8, class 9-12 and college students. The theme of the painting competition was ‘nature’ where school and college students exhibited beautiful thoughts on nature and its natural beauty. The message of ‘save the nature, save the earth’ was well exhibited by participants in the face painting competition.The visitors at the exhibition were amazed to witness the huge variety of green, sustainable and eco-friendly building materials and aesthetically displayed by architects and designers, being displayed at the expo that had put up their stalls from places like Delhi, Noida, Lucknow, Haldwani , Mumbai, Kolkata and Bareilly. The event imparted a lot of knowledge, information and practical ideas to Bareillywallahs in building material with regard to their houses, corporate, businesses etc, which was a great motivation to young and budding architects and interior designers of the city, who were also awarded for their creativity and green ideas. The expo concluded with a gala cultural night where architects, their families, guests and participants of different events gathered for a get-together and gave some mesmerizing performances on dance numbers., a resident of Civil Lines , said, “The build expo was quite a useful exhibition for us where we got to know the trends and variety in architecture and interior designing, like any other fair. We keep witnessing and going to handicraft and lifestyle exhibitions in the city but this was one of its kind. Apart from getting practical home ideas and decor, the three-day expo had lot of interesting activities and competitions for children and youngsters, which was a treat to watch and enjoy.”a resident of Rajendra Nagar, said, “We got to see some wonderful, creative and thought-provoking face painting created by Bareilly kids and youngsters. They were so beautiful! Besides, a hand shadow-graphy show was a unique thing to watch at the expo.”
