Two more held for murder of five of family

Pilibhit: A special joint team of district police, surveillance and special weapons and tactics (SWAT) cell have nabbed two more accused in connection with the murder of five of a family in Benipur village under Jahanabad police station on November 7.Police claimed to have seized Rs 80,000 from their possession, which they had stolen from the victim’s house.Five members of a family were found dead in the morning of November 8. On January 10, police had arrested key accused Gulsher of Khanjanpur village in Bareilly district.The accused — identified as Salim and Tasleem, nephews of Gulsher — were arrested from Pilibhit city area.Superintendent of police Manoj Kumar Sonkar told mediapersons on Tuesday that Tasleem had accompanied his uncle Gulsher to Benipur.After stealing money from Nemchand’s house, Tasleem called his brother Salim with a bike, and they fled the village along with their uncle, said SP.The accused told police that they had come to Pilibhit to pay fee to lawyer for getting Gulsher out on bail, said SP.Their names were included in the FIR registered on January 8, he added.
