Thoughtful dance and skit performances highlighting social issues a major draw at this New Year Mahotsav

The cultural programs included several solo and group dance performances, solo and group singing, debate competitions and skits. We had a lovely time with our friends and thoroughly enjoyed the dance performances that were simply ‘wow’. The highlights of the event were theme-based skit and dance performances on save trees and environment, save and educate the girl child, tribute to Indian soldiers and oneness, unity and integrity among many others. The performances were quite thoughtful and beautifully executed. It was an entertaining event for every age-group and had galore of food options too.

A two-day New Year Mahotsav was organized recently by Parish Council at Saint Alphonsus Cathedral Campus in Cantonment that was a hit among Bareilly youngsters, came in large groups with their friends. The fete was inaugurated by Rev Dr Ignatius D’Souza-Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Bareilly.Several schools of Bareilly also participated in the event and showcased their dancing and acting talent on stage. The performances were mesmerizing and applauded by one and all. During the event, youngsters were seen moving around the venue and educating visitors on the importance of trees, keeping our surroundings clean etc.resident of Rampur Garden, said, “I attended the fete on both the days and it was a perfect hangout spot for us. We had a lovely time with our friends and thoroughly enjoyed the dance performances that were simply ‘wow’. It was an entertaining event for every age-group and had galore of food options too. We just enjoyed and had good fun.”, resident of Sanjay Nagar , said, “The fete had some delicious food stalls along with game stalls where children and youngsters had some great time. The entire campus was beautifully decorated with dazzling lights it was fun to pose and get ourselves clicked at beautiful backdrops.”from Civil Lines , said, “The cultural events at the fete were a major draw that highlighted sensitive social issues still prevailing in the society.
