Bisalpur 4-lane flyover hit as Rs 1 cr needed to shift electric poles

The upcoming flyover will be 70.88 metres in length, 17 metres wide and will be built at an estimated cost of Rs 12.59 crore. We informed the same to power department officials following which, they prepared an estimate of around Rs 1 crore as cost of shifting the poles. Bareilly: The Bareilly-Bisalpur four-lane flyover project by Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation’s (UPSBC) has virtually stopped for want of funds to shift electricity poles and lines that are in the way. Nearly 20% work was completed recently by UPSBC but there are a few electricity poles that need to be shifted as these are acting as a hindrance in construction work. The construction of a flyover is expected to facilitate commuters in the area, said officials.The proposal of the Bisalpur flyover was approved by UP finance minister Rajesh Agarwal last year.
