Bareilly: Police busted an inter-state tractor theft gang on Saturday and recovered three vehicles from them.Kyoladia SHO Rajvir Parmar said, “We have arrested three men and recovered three tractors from them. All vehicles are in good condition. The accused were identified as Santram, resident of Kyoladia, Mukesh, resident of Nauganwa village, and his aide Mukesh Kumar, resident of Pega village.”“We have registered a case against them under sections 379 (punishment for theft), 411 (dishonestly receiving stolen property), 414 (assisting in concealment of stolen property) and 420 (cheating) of the IPC. We are trying to trace the other gang members,” he added.Parmar said, “Based on a tip-off, a five member police team reached the hideout of the accused near Kyoladia village and arrested them. During interrogation, the accused revealed that they used to identify vehicles that could be easily stolen. They find vehicles without locks and then switch on the ignition. They will then abandon it at a deserted location. They sell it later after finding suitable customers.”
