Pilibhit: In two separate incidents, two locked houses in Gauhar village under Pilibhit’s Neuria police station were burgled and valuables worth more than Rs 10 lakh were taken away.Of the two victims, Zahid Hussain had gone to stay with his brothers at his parental home following the death of his mother. The robbers broke into his house late on Friday and stole cash of Rs 32,000, 60 grams of gold jewellery worth more than Rs 2 lakh and 3 kilograms of silver jewellery worth over Rs 1.5 lakh.The other house owned by Shaqil Quraishi was also unattended as his family had gone out to a relative’s house. Police were trying to identify the accused and nab them, he added. Quraishi himself was in Delhi.
