Shahjahanpur: The 19-year-old local youth, who was on Saturday booked on sedition charges for allegedly posting anti-national contents on his Facebook wall, was arrested from Shahjahanpur railway station on Monday.The youth was arrested while trying to board a train to Delhi, where had been living with his relatives for sometimes, said police.The arrest came hours after hundreds of people staged a protest in front of Sadar Bazar police station here, demanding his immediate arrest. “His mobile number was under surveillance and his activities were being monitored. The protest was lifted only after district magistrate Amrit Tripathi assured the protesters that the youth would be arrested soon.Ram Naresh Yadav, acting in charge of Sadar Bazar police station, said the youth was booked under section 124A (sedition) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the IT Act for sharing the image of a burning tricolour accompanied by derogatory remarks on his Facebook wall after Pulwama attack.
