Man dies after well caves in, three booked

While doing so, the well caved in and Dhanpal was buried alive. The deceased’s wife has lodged an FIR against the farmer and two other who had employed Dhanpal.Badan Singh, a farmer from Mohammadpur village had hired Satyapal to bring out bricks from the inner wall of an abandoned well.

Bareilly: A 32-year-old labourer, Satyapal, was buried alive in Mohammadpur village, under Nakhasa police station. The incident took place when he entered an abandoned well to collect bricks. The deceased’s wife has lodged an FIR against the farmer and two other who had employed Dhanpal.Badan Singh, a farmer from Mohammadpur village had hired Satyapal to bring out bricks from the inner wall of an abandoned well. While doing so, the well caved in and Dhanpal was buried alive. Villagers after an hour of digging managed to bring out Dhanpal’s dead body.In her complaint to police, the deceased’s wife Rajvati said that Badan Singh along with two others took her husband to the field and forced him to retrieve bricks, knowing fully well that the well could cave in anytime. She accused Singh of having settling an old rivalry with her husband.“Badan Singh, his brother Daulat Singh and son Veerpal had an old rivalry with my husband. They took him and poured soil on him when he was inside the well,” Rajvati alleged.Station house officer of Nakhasa police station, inspector Ravindra Singh said that they had lodged an FIR under section 302 (murder) of IPC against the trio and launched a massive manhunt to arrest them.
