Sufi Sunni clerics to meet in Delhi, discuss ways to stop terrorism

He added that Indian Muslims want peace and it was the social obligation of Ulemas to lead Indian citizens’ fight against radicalization. Apart from prominent clerics from across the country, general public will also attend the conference. Bareilly: Sufi Sunni Barelvi clerics, under the aegis of All India Tanzeem Ulama-e-Islam (AITUI), will organise a one-day conference in Ramleela Ground in New Delhi on Sunday, where they will formulate a plan to stop the spread of terrorism and discuss problems plaguing Indian Muslims.Clerics associated with AITUI said the conference, known as “International Peace Conference of Sufis”, seeks to enlighten Muslims about the threat of terrorism. A resolution will be passed to demand that Pakistan occupied Kashmir be handed over to India.” Founder of AITUI, Maulana Ashfaq Hussain Qadri, who will be the main speaker, confirmed that a fatwa will be issued and a demand will be made for PoK to be handed over to India.Clerics said a memorandum of resolutions passed by the clerics at the conference will be submitted to the Prime Minister’s office and the home ministry.Former national president of Muslim Students Organization of India, Sayyed Muhammad Qadri, will speak on how youths can be prevented from becoming fanatics and how including Sufi doctrine in school curriculum can help in this regard.
