Pilibhit: A 40-year-old man, Sita Ram, died on Tuesday morning in Nadha village after he was administered an injection allegedly by a local quack. He had gone outside to relive himself, and several minutes had passed since he returned. Police said the accused is on the run, and an FIR would be filed after the post-mortem examination is released.According to the deceased’s son Krishna, Sita Ram had gone to the quack, identified as Bablu, after he complained of stomachache.“My father was fine till he came home. We will check his medical degrees, and if is found to be a quack, he will be thrown behind the bars.”On February 12, a 26-year-old pregnant woman, Khushbu died she was been given injection by a medicine shop owner, Mamta Bhojwal, in Barkhera town. When we checked with him to see what’s wrong, we found my father lying on the floor unconscious,” Krishna said.SHO of Gajraula police station, Birja Ram, said, “We will take stringent action against the quack and will also inquire what kind of medicine was administered on the deceased.
