A man in his 40s shot by unidentified miscreants

Two unidentified persons shot a man in his 40s who was out for a morning walk in Budhi Vihar the incident reportedly happened around 5am. Police claims crime appears to be of personal rivalry with relatives.

The victim identified as Ashwini Kumar was rushed to the district hospital where he is currently undergoing his treatment.  40 year old Kumar was shot by unidentified person on morning of Tuesday when he was out for a morning walk in Budhi Vihar. The incident happened around at 5am.

According to the statement by police administration they suspect crime to be due to personal rivalry with a relative. A case has been registered. The victim’s family informed police that Ashwini had gone out for a morning walk as usual, he was shot by some people whom he failed to recognize when he was just 100m away from their residence in Budhi Vihar.

Ashwini’s wife Kanta Devi stated ‘’soon after he went out on a walk, I heard a gunshot and rushed outside. Local residents had gathered by then and later police were informed about the incident’’. As per the police officials, Kumar has had several disputes with relatives earlier due to whom he had to shift from Mohammedpur in Mundha Pandey to Budhi Vihar, along with his wife and three children.

Rakesh Kumar SHO of Majhola police station stated as per the primary investigation it could be the matter of personal rivalry among family members. An FIR has been registered against two people under section 307 (attempt to murder) of IPC. However the accused are yet to be found.
