Farmer returning from a court trial, beaten to death: Bareilly

In the post-mortem of Bholanath`s body, there have been marks of injuries on the body and the cause of death has been said to be strangulation. Police believe that the assailants strangled him to death after beating him.    

Uttar Pradesh apart from many other things is also known for crimes. A farmer returning home from the date of the dowry murder case was strangled to death after beating him. His body was found lying in a roadside ditch near the village. The farmer`s wife has filed a report against four people. Police have arrested one of the accused.

Mohanlal, the younger brother of 51-year-old farmer Bholanath of Adhkata Rabbani Begum village, has been in jail since 2016 in the dowry murder case. Bholanath was appearing for his case. He went to the District Court on the date and did not return home later. The housemates kept searching for them throughout the night. The villagers who went for a walk in the morning, informed their families when they saw their dead body lying in a roadside ditch near the neighboring village of Harchandpur. Police arrested one accused while the others escaped from the house.

Bholanath`s brother Mohanlal is accused of killing his wife Poonam and a half-year-old son. Three years ago, Poonam`s body was recovered from the river but the son was not found. In this case, Poonam`s father had filed a report against many people including Mohanlal, Bholanath, and his wife. Mohanlal is still in jail while Bholanath and his wife got bail.
