Man accuses BSP neta of duping youths of Rs 14L for IVRI jobs

Bareilly: A city resident, Mehndi Khan, in his complaint to deputy inspector general (Bareilly range) Ashutosh Kumar has accused BSP leader who contested from Cantt seat Anees Ahmed of duping his son and another youth of Rs 14 lakh by promising them a technician’s job at the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) here. The DIG has ordered an investigation into the matter.In his written complaint, Khan alleged that Ahmed and two of his aides, Zaheer Khan and Guddu, took Rs 14 lakh "to secure his son Saleem and friend Tapaswi Yadav jobs as technicians at IVRI. But the jobs never materialized".Ahmed, meanwhile, said though he had nothing to do with the matter, Khan had met two persons at his house and a "deal" had been struck last year. “The deal did take happen at my place but I have nothing to do with the two persons who are being called my aides. Being a politician I interact with scores of people every day but I do not know everyone personally.”In his written complaint, Khan alleged that the trio —Ahmad, Azheer Khan and Guddu — promised two posts of technicians at IVRI for Rs 14 lakh. The exam for the post was held in September last year. Ahmed had promised the jobs once the complainant paid up the amount but the jobs never happened. He added that he is now "running from pillar to post to get his money back".Khan also said he has in his possession a recording of Ahmed saying he would manage to secure two IVRI posts. DIG Kumar has ordered a probe into the matter and the case will be investigated by circle officer Satish Kumar.
