Bareilly: Following the request of a BJP candidate, Nasara Hasan, contesting for the post of chairperson of Dhauratanda Nagar panchayat, who complained receiving threat to her life from opponents, the senior superintendent of police Jogendra Kumar has recommended personal security to her in his letter to district magistrate.In the letter, SSP stated that Dhauratanda is a Muslim-dominated area from where BJP fielded a Muslim candidate and following intelligence inputs providing her a gunman would be advisable.According to the sources, this is the first time when BJP has distributed seven tickets to Muslim candidates in civic body elections, including for the post of councillors in Bareilly Municipal Corporation, four municipal boards and 15 nagar panchayats.
