He alleged that the police control room staff asked him to ‘hold on to the four accused’ till they arrived at the spot. His friends called the police control room and narrated the incident. A city-based software engineer, who took on a gang of four inebriated men for sexually harassing his female colleague on the busy HAL airport road but allegedly failed to get help from the police, has launched a campaign on social media with the hashtag ‘UselessBengaluruPolice’. The victim slapped one of the drunk men and demanded an apology. As the post went viral, the jurisdictional Jeevan Bhima Nagar police tried to get in touch with Nandakumar and trace the four drunk men.
