The result of the by-poll, which was held on Monday, was declared on Wednesday. The Janata Dal (S) won the Binnypet ward, which falls under Gandhinagar Assembly constituency. The Congress leader was a two-time councillor from Binnypet. The result was declared around 9 a.m. after completion of counting of all the votes, which was held at the Home Science College.
