B'luru: Infosys Foundation to build metro stn

The BMRCL will reserve 3000 squre feet of space in the station for foundation to conduct art and other exhibitions.“I am happy that the Infosys Foundation has become a partner in expansion of Metro rail network in Bengaluru city,” Sudha Murthy said after signing MoU. BENGALURU: Infosys Foundation , headed by Sudha Murthy , will construct a metro station in Bengaluru at a cost of Rs 200 crore besides maintaining it for 30 years.Foundation chairman Sudha Murthy and Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation managing director Ajay Seth signed a memorandum of understanding in this regard in the presence of chief minister H D Kumaraswamy and deputy CM G Parameshwar here on Thursday.The foundation will construct the metro station at Konappana Agrahara near Electronic City by investing Rs 200 crore and will maintain it for 30 years.The station that will come up on a 2 lakh sq ft land will be completed by 2021.
