BENGALURU: MLAs, ex MLAs and their families has to take treatment in Government hospitals only, Private hospital bill won’t be reimbursed.A Notification in this regards is sent out by ministry of secretariat. No as per the austerity drive and to improve government hospital services, speaker took this decision. This will save crores of public money.If government doctors recommends by writing to other private/special hospitals, then only the bills can considered for reimbursements.Till now, all the family members, dependents getting treatments and regular check-ups in high-tech hospitals. Except in cases of emergency like heart attack or accident, all MLAs, Ex-MLAs can avail the medical facilities in government hospitals.As per the instruction by Assembly speaker K.R.Ramesh Kumar, notification in this regard have been issued by secretary for Assembly, S. Murthy. Crores spent for this from state exchequer.
