K'taka rain: 12 rly staff rescued from Yedakumari

The Railway authorities approached the local administration of Hassan District to Airlift the Railway staff on August 16. Railway doctors examined their health condition and all are found to be in good health.Two more fresh landslide are reported to the extent of 25,000 Cubic Meters between Kadagaravalli and Yedakumari Railway Station. All 12 were successfully rescued on Friday at 12.10pm and were brought to Sakleshpur safely at 4pm. Due to inclement Weather conditions the Airlift was not possible.A Rescue team was formed under the leadership of Lakshmikanth Assistant Commissioner, Sakleshpur consisting of Local Police, Railway Protection force and Fire Brigade.
