The Prasads thought they must have misplaced it somewhere inside the house itself.”On Sunday, the apartment occupants had gathered on the roof for a cultural get-together. “The get-together began around 5pm and no one remembers seeing Sonal taking part in it. Around 6.30pm, Prasad’s father-in-law, a senior citizen, decided to go home and went down. It was then that he allegedly saw Sonal coming out of the house. Before he could ask her anything, she is said to have jumped off the balcony in front of the flat,” police said.Ravi D Channananavar, deputy commissioner of police (west), said they are probing the case from all angles. “It is too early to say whether it was an accidental fall, a suicide or a murder.
