BELAGAVI: Muslim community members welcomed Durga Mata Doud procession and participated in the pooja, perhaps for the first time.On Monday, Durga Mata Doud procession reached the Picket Road of camp area and Dandnu Committee president Sajid Shaikh and other Muslim community members greeted it with joy. "We have been watching Durga Mata Doud procession every year, but today our dream comes true after participating in it," said Sajid Shaikh. They garlanded Durga Mata Flag too. "Muslim brothers arranged the food for all the people who were present in the procession too," he said.Recently, during Ganeshotsav also, Hindu and Muslim community jointly celebrated the utsav.
