BENGALURU: A 26-year-old junior lineman attached to the Malleshwaram sub-division of Bescom was electrocuted while repairing a transformer on Sampige Road on Tuesday noon.Police said Pradeep DP, a resident of Kamakshipalya and from Kunigal, Tumakuru, was rushed to Apollo Hospitals, Seshadripuram, where he was declared brought dead.The incident took place behind Lakshmi Gold Palace on Sampige Road around noon, said police. Pradeep and three of his colleagues had rushed to the spot to repair a transformer when he suffered an electric shock. “The man was brought dead. There were no injuries on his body, which was not charred. It could be a case of electric shock,” said authorities at Apollo Hospitals.The body was shifted to MS Ramaiah Medical College Hospital for postmortem. Police have registered a case of unnatural death and are trying to figure out if negligence by anyone else led to his death.
