BENGALURU: An elderly couple was killed and four people, including a police officer, were injured in a serial accident involving a bike, a car and a police highway patrol vehicle at Karapanahalli Gate on Hoskote-Chintamani Road , near Hoskote, on Sunday morning.Police sources said the patrol vehicle was escorting Sri Vishvesha Tirtha Swamiji , head pontiff of Sri Pejawar Adokshaja Mutt, Udupi, towards Chintamani, when the accident occurred around 7.45am.According to police, the dead couple — Ramakrishnaiah, 80, and his wife Sarvalochana, 78, residents of Chintamani — was heading towards Bengaluru with their daughter-in-law, Nalina Kumari, to attend the marriage of a relative.
