Man pens letter to friend's lover, murdered

BENGALURU: Two brothers allegedly tortured a 28-year-old man for writing a love letter to the girlfriend of one of them. They partied and after consuming alcohol, Devaraju asked Ramamurthy about the letter. He promised to get Ramamurthy a job in Bengaluru and brought him to his house in Kannamangala, Whitefield, on February 11. Heated arguments ensued and the brothers strangled him with a towel. The man succumbed to injuries on Friday.Ramamurthy, a resident of Tirumanahalli village in Kolar 's Mulbagal taluk, and his attackers, Devaraju and Sunil from the neighbouring Tayaluru village, were friends, Kadugodi police said.Devaraju, who was in love with a girl, came to know about Ramamurthy's letter to her and decided to take revenge, police said.
