BENGALURU: Three miscreants abducted an ayurvedic doctor from Magadi Road on Monday night and dropped him at Nagarbhavi Circle after robbing him of his valuables, including a diamond ring and Rs 12,000 cash.Kamakshipalya police have taken up a case of robbery and kidnap against the miscreants and launched a probe to trace them.Police said Dr Ravi Kumar, a resident of Agrahara Dasarahalli, runs an ayurvedic clinic in Srinivasanagar, Sunkadakatte. He was returning home on his bike at 10.30pm when the miscreants in a car stopped him. They told him that someone had given them a Rs 5 lakh contract to kill him.“One of them stabbed me on the thigh and asked me to sit in the car. They took me towards Magadi and Ramanagara. They said they would free me if I paid Rs 6 lakh. I agreed to pay Rs 2 lakh and called my sister, asking her to arrange for the money. Later, they snatched my mobile and switched it off. Then they robbed me of my three gold rings, one diamond ring and Rs 12,000 cash. I was dropped at Nagarabhavi junction at 1.30am Tuesday,” Ravi said in his complaint.
