Karnataka BJP denies bribery allegations

The Congress had alleged that Yeddyurappa had made Rs 1800 crore payment to different leaders in the party. The Congress is making baseless allegations as they cannot counter PM Modi’s achievements. BENGALURU: Spiking Congress’ allegations that B S Yeddyurappa had made payouts to senior BJP leader during his tenure as Karnataka chief minister, BJP leader and Yeddyurappa’s aide Shobha Karandlaje retorted, “This is nothing but a poll-related conspiracy hatched by a nervous Congress .”Denying the existence of any diary in which the payouts have been recorded, Udupi-Chikkamagalur Lok Sabha constituency candidate Shobha said, “It is a fake diary. It is the creation of the Congress which is losing ground across the country. We will not be disturbed by such allegations, we will continue to focus on fighting elections.”Earlier in the day, Congress spokesperson R S Surjewala quoted a media report that had made references to a diary allegedly written by Yeddyurappa and he demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi to order a probe.
