Karnataka reported 7,606 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, taking the state’s overall infection tally to 7,17,915.

The state also reported 70 virus related deaths, pushing the total death toll to 10,036.

With 12,030 discharges on Monday, the total patients discharged after recovery are 5,92,084 and active cases stands at 1,15,776.

Out of the fresh cases, 3,498 were from Bengaluru Urban alone. A total of 928 patients are in the Intensive Care Units across the state. Bengaluru Urban accounted for 18 deaths on Monday. Belagavi reported 444 fresh cases, Udupi 317, Mysuru 309 and Dakshina Kannada 303.

A total of over 60,30,980 samples have been tested so far, out of which 78,757 were tested on Monday alone. Of them 23,564 were rapid antigen tests.
