Karnataka CM Takes Off To Delhi, Consults BJP Leadership On Cabinet Expansion

Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday takes off to Delhi to consult the BJP`s central leadership for finalizing the Cabinet expansion of his state government.
According to sources, Basavaraj Bomai received a call from BJP top brass in Delhi asking him to visit the national capital for the second time in three days. "Most probably there is a meeting tomorrow. I will meet our party president J P Nadda," Bommai told reporters before leaving Bengaluru.
The newly-selected Karnataka chief minister had informed that the Cabinet expansion exercise might be completed soon as a direction from the party leadership could arrive on Monday.
Meanwhile, Basavaraj Bommai had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his first visit to Delhi as the Karnataka chief minister on Friday. Following the meeting, he said the expansion of the state Cabinet could take place in the next week, keeping in view the rising Covid-19 cases and floods in some districts.
