Seven-year-old boy goes missing in city

The victim’s mother had raised a suspicion that his son, Mohammad Asik, might have been kidnapped by some unidentified person. It led her to suspect that her son might be kidnapped by some unidentified person. The police have registered a case against an unidentified person under Section 363 of the IPC at the Canal Colony police station. Bathinda, July 21 A seven-year-old boy, a resident of Nachattar Nagar here, reportedly went missing a few days ago. As per information, on July 18, he had left for school, but never returned home. The victim’s mother had raised a suspicion that his son, Mohammad Asik, might have been kidnapped by some unidentified person. She had also lodged a complaint with the Vardhman police post and acting on which the police had registered a case against an unidentified person and started a probe. Though three days have elapsed, the police have failed to get any clue about the missing student. In a complaint lodged with the police, the victim’s mother Afsana Khatoon stated that for last three and a half years, they had been staying in a rented house and were working as labourers. Last month, her husband died in a road mishap. She has five children. Further, she stated that Mohammad Asik studied in Class III of a government school located in the Model Town area here. On July 18, her son had gone to school, but never returned. When he did not return home till evening, they started searching for him, but could not find him. On July 19, when she went to the school, she came to know that her son did not reach the school on July 18. It led her to suspect that her son might be kidnapped by some unidentified person. The police have registered a case against an unidentified person under Section 363 of the IPC at the Canal Colony police station. The investigating officer said that the police were working on this case and had made teams to search the missing student. Police clueless As per information, on July 18, he had left for school, but never returned home. The victim’s mother had raised a suspicion that his son, Mohammad Asik, might have been kidnapped by some unidentified person. She had also lodged a complaint with the Vardhman police post and acting on which the police had registered a case against an unidentified person and started a probe.
