Youths plant saplings

Local youngsters have not only started planting 550 saplings, dedicated to year-long celebrations of 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, but have also started procuring free saplings through the “i-hariyali” app. The Punjab Government’s celebrations of 550th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji have given us a chance to grow 550 plants in each village. We want to turn link road connecting our village to Barnala-Bhadaur road green with plantation on both its sides,” Said Kuldeep Singh, a youth from Bhagatpura village. “We are providing all support to people, who want to plant saplings” said the DC.

The Punjab Government’s celebrations of 550th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji have given us a chance to grow 550 plants in each village. We are trying to convince others also to join us. We want to turn link road connecting our village to Barnala-Bhadaur road green with plantation on both its sides,” Said Kuldeep Singh, a youth from Bhagatpura village. Barnala Deputy Commissioner (DC) Tej Partap Singh Phoolka said all youngsters of the district should take part in the plantation drive of the district administration. “We are providing all support to people, who want to plant saplings” said the DC.
