Two booked for Rs 11-Lakh fraud

BRIEFLYBathinda: The police on Saturday booked two persons for allegedly duping a resident of Kotguru village on the pretext of sending his son to Spain. The suspects have been identified as Hardayal Singh and his son Amandeep Singh, both residents of sector 34 A, Chandigarh. Complainant Kaur Singh told the police that the suspects took Rs 11.50 lakh from him to send his son to Spain. A case under Sections 420 and 34 of the IPC has been registered against the suspects. He sought a case against the singer under Sections 295-A and 509 of the IPC.

A case under Sections 420 and 34 of the IPC has been registered against the suspects. TNS Plaint against Moosewala Muktsar: A Gidderbaha-based advocate has filed a complaint in the court against Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala for using the name of Mata Bhag Kaur (Mai Bhago) in his latest song ‘Jatti Jeone Morh Wargi’. Complainant Kuljinder Singh said he watched the song on YouTube, which hurt his religious sentiments. He sought a case against the singer under Sections 295-A and 509 of the IPC. The matter will be taken up before the court on September 30. TNS
