Tribune News ServiceBathinda, December 5Students and faculty members of the SSD Group of Girls’ Colleges carried out a candle march in solidarity with Hyderabad rape victim in the city. The march started from the SSD Girls’ College premises and moved towards Sadhbahavana Chowk via Amrik Singh Road and Fire Brigade Chowk. Holding banners in their hands, the participants raised slogans such as ‘we want justice’, ‘no mercy to rapists’, ‘we want security’ and ‘stop rape culture’ during the march. Students, faculty and executive members of the management expressed their deep condolences and urged the government to enact a strong law against the most heinous crime of rape. Over 100 staff members and around 300 students joined the rally.
