Archit WattsTribune News ServiceMuktsar, December 6Constable Veerpal Kaur of the Muktsar police has made the district proud again by winning a bronze medal in the 400m hurdle race in the South Asian Games, which are being held from December 1 to 10 at Kathmandu in Nepal. Speaking over a phone, Jaswant Singh, an uncle of Veerpal, said: “We got the good news on Friday that our daughter has won one more medal. She has made the entire district proud with her achievement. We wish her more success in future.”He said Veerpal was scheduled to get married on December 9, but still preferred to go to Nepal to keep the momentum of her victory continue. She is expected to reach here tomorrow.”Notably, Veerpal, who is from a small agrarian family, had joined the Punjab police as a constable in 2017 under the sports category.
