Bharatnatyam performers bring out Radha-Krishna love story

Bharatnatyam dancers Apoorva Jayaraman and Shweta Prachand performed with their troupe in front of a delighted audience in the city recently. Apoorva, who also happens to be a doctorate in Astronomy teamed up with Shweta to showcase classical performances at Tribal Museum. The dance was performed to a Sanskrit shlok Kararavindena Padaravindam followed by a dance on Yasmin Nratyayati. It was composed by Rajkumar Bharti and supported by Vijayaraghavan on the Mridang. The classical dance depicted the charm and beauty of the child Lord Krishna.Further on, artistes performed a dance on Ka esha mathura, vedi mitho ghate in raga Mand, a melodious Raga which is quite difficult to perform.
