BHOPAL: Even though Argentina has been eliminated from the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup , its craze among city soccer lovers has not waned, as they feel that the South American team will bounce back soon.To show their loyalty towards the team, residents are buying the team jerseys. Among the soccer stars, Portugal's Ronaldo is still the favourite, even though his team has made an exit from the Cup.Shopkeepers say the sale of Ronaldo's jerseys has suddenly increased. "After Argentina's defeat, we were little shattered as we had stocked Argentina jerseys to earn a good profit. However, we were shocked when we noticed that even after Argentina lost in qualifiers, sport lovers still demanded for the same jersey," said Abbas Ali, a sports shopowner in Ibrahimpura. He said, "In the last one week, we have sold more than 50 jerseys of Argentina."Abdul Qarid, a sports product seller in Kamla Park area, said: "Even after the team's exit, we are witnessing a spurt in sale of Ronaldo's jersey. We are selling around five jerseys of Ronaldo daily. We have ordered three sets of jerseys. Argentina team jerseys too is in huge demand."Hamza Khan, a football lover, said: "Messi is my favourite player and he doesn't needs to win a world cup to prove himself. Even if he is unable to qualify for finals, I will support him."Rahul Maran, another football player, said: "Argentina is my favourite since childhood and will always be. Ronaldo too played well this year and I decided to support him. Even though these two teams are not in finals of the world cup, but they will always be giants of football."
