BMC mayor protests over flooding in Bhopal

A senior Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) official slipped into the Safia college drain towards the graveyard. BHOPAL: State capital’s mayor Alok Sharma sat in protest in a water logged area in Bhopal’s walled city area Safia College, here on Thursday. In an election year, BJP leader Sharma objected to inaction from district administration and state government’s PWD department. Top official from district administration reached the spot and called for coordination action to resolve the water logging issue. Around 70 commercial outlets and residential homes were water logged in the area.Sharma reached the spot at around 8.45am.
