Bhopal: Wet weather to stick around, says IMD

BHOPAL: Showers continued to lash the capital city and other parts of the state on Wednesday, bringing down the day temperature as citizens got respite from sultry weather conditions.Officials at the Meteorological department, Bhopal circle, said a monsoon trough is passing over Madhya Pradesh. In the forecast for the state, Met officials issued a warning of heavy showers at Raisen, Sehore, Vidisha, Rajgarh, Dewas, Shajapur , Hoshangabad, Harda, Chhindwara , Seoni, Mandla, Ashoknagar and Guna.

Bhopal recorded a total of 2.3mm rain during the day between 8.30am to 5.30pm, while in past 24 hours till 8.30am it recorded a total of 4.6mm rainfall.Among the other places that received good amount of rainfall between 8.30am to 5.30pm were Guna 68mm, Raisen 18mm, Ujjain 10mm and Betul 6mm.In Thursday’s forecast for Bhopal, Met officials said there would be cloudy sky and the city is expected to receive more rainfall and thundershowers.
