BHOPAL: A day ahead of his ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra’, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched his high-tech chariot by offering puja at the state BJP head office on Friday. Chouhan said that during his yatra — which will be flagged off by BJP president Amit Shah from Ujjain — he will seek the blessings of public to form BJP government again in the state.Speaking at the launch of his chariot, the chief minister said, “In the last 15 years of BJP regime, the state has registered significant growth with BJP’s development plank. BJP’s welfare schemes have changed the life of common people and we want to continue the progress.”Chouhan said that party president Amit Shah will flag off the yatra after offering prayers at the famous Mahakaal temple in Ujjain. “The party has instructed me to organize a yatra again to seek public blessings for the work done during the past regime. I have nothing to say about Congress allegations as the party has always tried to defame the state. Congress envy state’s development so, let the party bicker I am going to seek public’s blessings,” said Chouhan.The BJP launched two high-tech chariots. The main chariot with state-of-the-art amenities will be flagged off in Ujjain on July 14. The chariot will tour the entire Malwa region. Another chariot, a motorized vehicle, will be used during the second phase of the yatra in Mahakaushal region.The main chariot is designed by country’s top car designer Dilip Chhabria on Bharat Benz bus and costs around Rs1.20 crore.The chariot is equipped with a hydraulic platform to provide a stage to the CM through roof for his addresses during the tour. The stage can accommodate ten persons.“The chariot has two wellfurnished sections with close circuit cameras, two android enabled smart televisions and Wi-Fi connection. A rest room with two reclining chairs, a mini sofa and modern toilet has been attached for rest and recuperation. Amenities like a mini fridge, a microwave oven and folding tables have also been provided,” BJP state spokesperson Hidayatullah Shaikh said.The chariot is also equipped with LED lights and public-address system, he said. BJP state president Rakesh Singh, public relations minister Narottam Mishra, yatra convener Prabhat Jha and chief minister’s wife Sadhna Singh were also present during the launch. Singh said that public has blessed the chief minister twice to emerge victorious during elections and this time again he will be blessed to power against Congress’ blame game.“Public is eagerly waiting for Jan Ashirwad Yatra to bless Shivraj Singh Chouhan another successful tenure as chief minister. We are hopeful that this is not only a tour but a victory bugle,” said BJP state chief Singh. The chief minister will embark upon his third ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra' to cover 230 assembly constituencies in 72 days, in various phases. The yatra will culminate into a gala workers’ meeting ‘Karyakarta Mahakumbh’, in state capital on September 25. T
